Many might have the impression that teachers are, by default, ‘serious’ types of people. After school, they go back home, mark papers, do lesson plans, go to bed early, and repeat the same routine every day. These may be the typical impressions people have of us teachers; but on the contrary, teachers are just like any other people, and can be barrels of joy and fun too!
“Recess: Alter Ego”, an upcoming public production by NIE DanceFuzion, will showcase the talents of our student teachers in a medley of entertaining performances, showing the audience that teachers can be fun-loving and professional at the same time. In this way, fellow teachers are encouraged not to stick to status quo, but to bring professionalism to the next level by not fearing innovation. Last but not least, we hope to showcase a different side of teachers, a side that students may find easier to relate to, since they actually do share something in common!
There will also be singing performances by Faizal (StarLite 2008 Soloist Champion) & Nidzam (StarLite group category runner-ups 2007), as well as the StarLite 2010 group category champions, TNT!
Best of all, this public performance production is free-of-charge! So, do try to bring your friends down together to show your much-appreciated support for your friends from NIE, and to just chill out to some great entertainment on a Saturday night!
